Farewell to Terry Fanolua
14 March 2006 |

The announcement that Terry Fanolua will not now complete the final year of his contract has left many of us feeling numb. He arrived at the club along with PSA and Richard Tombs at a time when many at Kingsholm thought “professional” was a dirty word. Despite initial homesickness, he immersed himself in the culture and community of Gloucester and the rugby club. He has become a Glawster boy through and through, even though he never could get to grips with cider!
It is therefore very sad that such a loyal and committed player has not been rewarded with the testimonial year he so richly deserved. It has been clear, though, that the supporters do wish to recognise Terry’s contribution and a committee has been set up to organise some events where we can show our appreciation. More information can be found here www.terryfanolua.co.uk.
With the permission of the Farewell Celebration committee, we have decided that all future profits from Terry “Fanolego” products on this site will go directly to Terry. Initially, we have designed a new children’s t-shirt (see below) and a number of other items are in the pipeline.
